PREVENTATIVE CARE

•  VACCINES    

We tailor vaccines to the individual needs of your pet based on your pets lifestyle and risk to disease.  While some pets may not receive vaccines every year an annual examination is very important in preventative care.  Yearly examinations can catch things before they cause problems.  It is much easier to treat problems before they become serious then wait until the pet is sick.

• FLEA and TICK CONTROL  

Fleas and Ticks can be a major problem for pets and pet owners.  Even a few fleas and ticks can turn into a major infestation.  Fleas and ticks can cause serious harm and disease to your pet.  We offer the latest products to keep your pet free from these blood sucking parasites.

• DENTISTRY    

Dental care is an essential part of a total health care regimen for dogs and cats.  We offer complete dental services from client education to  annual or six month cleaning and polishing.  General anethesia is required for dental services. This is because a typical pet dental includes full oral exam (i.e. checking for oral growths or ulcers), treatment/removal of diseased teeth, removal of plaque and tartar, and finally polishing the teeth. Animals, no matter how well-trained they may be, do not open up their mouth and put up with the noise and possible discomfort involved with a full dental cleaning.

• HEARTWORM  PREVENTION  

Monthly heartworm medication is neccessary to keep your pet healthy.  Even indoor pets are at risk.  Heartworms can have damaging effects to your pets heart and lungs.   A monthly pill can prevent your pet from having to undergo expensive treatments for heartworms.
