Meet Our Doctors
Dr. Pearce earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida in 1988, where he had also also obtained his B.S. in Animal Science. Dr. Pearce has been working locally since 1988 and has been the owner of the Animal Clinic of Windermere since 2000.
Dr. Pearce's special interests in veterinary medicine include internal medicine, dermatology and surgery.
Dr. Pearce is a true native of Florida having grown up right here in South Orlando. Prior to becoming a veterinarian, he worked as a technician at a local veterinary clinic.
Dr. Pearce, wife Mary, and daughters Jessica and Melanie share their home with two canine companions; Dudley, a yellow labrador and Gidget, a minature schnauzer. Outside of work, Dr. Pearce enjoys fishing, boating, golfing and , of course, Gator Football.
Dr. Knighton-Buster is a cum laude graduate from University of Florida. She was awarded many honors beginning as a high school senior with her acceptance into the University's Early Admissions Program for Veterinary Medicine. As a senior veterinary student, she also received the Clyde & Laura Spears Memorial Award for excelling in food animal reproduction, management, medicine and surgery.
Dr. Knighton-Buster grew up in rural North Florida, near the Georgia border. She was raised on approximately 2000 acres where her family grew crops such as; cotton, peanuts, and corn. Her family also raised beef cattle maintaining a herd of approximately 300 head.
Before becoming a veterinarian, she worked as a veterinary technician for 6 years in Valdosta, Georgia. She received her B.S. in Animal Sciences with honors from the University of Florida.
Dr. Knighton-Buster's special interests in veterinary medicine include soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine amd oncology.
Outside of work, Dr. Knighton-Buster enjoys motorcycle riding, camping, fishing and music. Dr. Knighton-Buster and husband Jeremy, share their home with dogs; Farley, Savannah, and Rosco and cats; Possum, Tinker, Harley and Clyde.
Dr. Speicher graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988, and also received his B.S. in molecular genetics from the Ohio State University.
Dr. Speicher grew up in New England and Ohio. He worked for a number of years on Cape Cod before moving to Orlando.
Dr. Speicher's special interests in veterinary medicine includes behavior and canine rehabilitative therapy.
Outside of work, Dr. Speicher enjoys competing in obedience and hunt tests with his golden retriever, Jake, and his flat-coated retriever, Hank. He also has a kitten name Ethan.
